My So Called Life

This pilot episode of "My So Called Life" is an example of a personal narrative that is based on a girl who has trouble getting along with her family. She feels her life is uninteresting and thinks that by defying her parents she would have more fun. This show shows her personal struggle trying to find herself and learning more about her family in baby steps. Over all I think this movie was helpful because I know have a better understanding about personal narratives.

The Road Warrior, The OC

In this video we saw an example on how a voiceover lets you understand what the person is thinking without them actually saying it on camera. In this clip we saw a girl using a voiceoever to make her life seem more dramatic. Her friend walks in on her and is troubeled as to why her friend would want her life to be any more dramatic then it already is. This leads the audience with the hint that the girl like her life to be all about herself and how she wants to be perceived.

It Might Get Loud

This video was about three muscians who lets the audience venture thier minds so we, could get a taste of what music meant to each of them. They each recall and talk about past event that influenced them the most in thier careear. By watching this video you can see how passionate these three guys are about music, this has inspired me to express myself more in my personal narrative video.

Bruce Springsteen Personal Narrative Video

Bruce Springsteen reflects back to his past and thinks about the things he had done and experienced when he was a starting his pass t become a musician. he remembered how hard he worked to become who he is today. All his lyrics mean something to him, he made sure he stayed away from all the cliched words because he wanted his lyrics to be original. This personal narrative shows the life f a man who achieved his dream though hard work and determination.

This American Life

In this video different individuals from different age groups and backgrounds talk about their life and how they perceive things. This boy named Joe stated that he would never fall in love because he doesn't want to become a fool and feel the pain that comes with loving someone. All he cares about is playing games and is completely uninterested in his family which worries his mother. This personal narrative gets the viewers involved because it makes them wonder why this boy acts the way he does and how he will over come this "loveless" life. I have to say i don't agree with that the boy is thinking because sometimes you just cant control that emotion, this video made me realize that through my personal narrative I can get the audience to ask why? how? who? or what makes you believe the things you do.

High School Confidentail

This personal narrative video, showed three examples using three different individuals. As high school students their lives are much different from the norm. They each discuss how they experienced their high-school career and how they overcame their difficulties, while trying to have a positive outlook on life. I learned that if you use a personal approach and incorporate it into your video it will let the audience understand your point of view more clearly.

My Impression Now by John Stellar

The story basically explains how John Sellers found his way through the help of iTunes. Before he never payed attention to what he was listening to until he took a look at his most played list on his iTunes. . He had a brief flash back and remembered specific bands that had caught his attention as a young man.He realized that he enjoyed listening to Indie Rock and is now able to fully enjoy himself whenever he listens to music.

In this short story Olive Panter shows how her childhood experiences with music developed her passion for music. Her whole life has been centered around music and she enjoys sharing what she loves with other people around her. She know that everyone likes different things and fully supports their taste for music.
